About this object
A photograph of Napier and Hastings marching bands at McLean Park, Napier on the 6 November 1937.
From a group of photographs depicting inter-house teams and bands competing at McLean Park on that date. The image depicts several small marching groups standing in formation on the field. The groups are headed by one girl each that is standing out in front of the group. Several of the girls are holding banners.
At the right of the image a brass band is visible. A large stadium stand is visible across the field in the background of the image. The photograph appears to have been taken from a slightly higher elevation looking down on the scene.
