About this object
A photograph depicting two cars on Marine Parade in Napier, possibly taken in 1947. The cars are thought to have formed part a procession that was held after World War ll. The two men in the foreground of the photograph are wearing military berets. The man saluting is Field Marshal Viscount Montgomery of Alamein when he visited Napier. The Borough Council Chambers and the Napier Courthouse can be seen in the background of the photograph. Photographer, Dave Williams.
