A photograph of Bestall's Ltd Drapers' entry in the New Napier Carnival of January 1933.
The New Napier Carnival celebrated the opening of Napier after the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake. The photograph, taken on Marine Parade, depicts the front of the procession where two men in bell-hop uniforms hold a banner reading: Bestall's Limited. A masked figure with a trident is visible at the left. Women in various outfits are on either side of the following car. The Royal Napier Lodge float is visible in the background of the image.
