About this object
View of Dunedin looking towards the Otago Peninsula, maybe taken in the 1880s.
The photograph shows the houses in upper Forth Place (now renamed Warrender Street). The house with a lean-to roof and two chimneys at top right is now number 89. It was built for the Education Board as a headmaster's residence, and is Category 2 on the New Zealand Heritage List.
The photograph appears to have been taken from the hill between Prospect Park and Queen Street.
Photographer, possibly F W Williams.
