About this object
View of Hukarere Māori Girls School, thought to have been taken from Priestley Road looking towards Cape Kidnappers in 1877 or 1878. There is washing on the line. Napier Prison and the lighthouse are visible on the extreme left of the Bluff Hill. Cottages and homesteads are visible along the ridgeline.
