It States:
This is to certify that Mary Victoria Barton has given satisfactory evidence of attainments in learning, entitling her to be placed in class D, division 4 of teachers holding certificates under the Education Act 1904. That her experience as a public school teacher and her practical skill in the art of teaching and school management qualify her for division 4 and that she is accordingly rated as of Class D Division 4. Wellington January 1, 1912.
