About this object
View of the Napier Grammar School thought to have been taken in 1876 or 1877. Staff and students pose for the photograph in front of the school building. The man standing in front of the row of students is identified in the album in which the photograph is located as the headmaster of the school, Reverend G M D'Arcy Irvine. A dog sits at the headmasters feet.
