About this object
A photograph thought to depict the demolition of Dr Moore's Private Hospital, Upoko Poito. Located on Marine Parade in Napier, the hospital was badly damaged in the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake. In the photograph pieces of reinforced concrete are being loaded onto the back of a lorry. The Hawke's Bay Club is visible in the background.
