A photograph of Napier taken from Napier Hill after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the 3rd of February 1931. The Napier Central Fire Station can be seen in the foreground. The temporary business premises, known as Tin Town, that were built in Memorial and Clive Squares following the earthquake are also visible. To the left of Memorial Square is the site of the Provincial Hotel.
