About this object
Postcard featuring a view of a Navy League gathering held in Napier on 21 October 1919. The photograph was taken from the balcony of the Masonic Hotel looking towards Marine Parade. On the right side of the image is the band rotunda that was donated to the Borough of Napier by Neal and Close in 1894. A row of flags have been hung between the hotel and the band rotunda. The Borough Council Chambers, built 1874, is visible on the extreme left.
