Postcard featuring a view of Port Ahuriri from Bluff Hill, Napier, possibly taken in the early twentieth century.
The premises of Gifford Plowman and Company are located at the intersection of Shakespeare Road and Battery Road. Ahuriri and the Western Spit (Westshore) visible in the distance.
The postcard was sent by 'M' to Mr R Oxford in Melbourne, Victoria, on 10 December 1908. A note on the rear of the postcard wishes him a lovely trip. The postcard is from the Gold Medal Series, issued in Christchurch, New Zealand. A one penny New Zealand stamp is affixed to the postcard.
