Letter and drawings from Joseph Tosland to his brother, S Tosland.

a) A letter from Joseph Tosland in which he mentions that their father and mother are unwell. He also writes of his own illness and gives advice to his brother before he leaves home.

b) A drawing of Joseph's house and the bush being cleared behind it. The other side of the page shows a group of people underneath a tree, sitting and smoking around a camp fire. The words on the drawing read: Kauri-e-kai Kauri e moke.
