Brief Description
Petition and follow-up letter from residents of Port Ahuriri (Western Spit) to the Napier Harbour Board in regards to the construction of the harbour breakwater.

a) The petition maintains that the breakwater has resulted in the obstruction and supply of shingle on the beach of Port Ahuriri, causing denudation beyond the Freezing Works, resulting in the loss of land value and residential homes.

Presented by H Willcock. Signed by 44 residents of Port Ahuriri and Western Spit.

b) Follow-up letter to the Chairman of the Napier Harbour Board. It notes on behalf of the petitioners that the issue was not brought up at the Board's last meeting and reiterates the seriousness of the matter.
