A photograph of Heretaunga Street West in Hastings taken looking towards Havelock North after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the 3rd of February 1931. In the foreground of the image is the Villa d' Este Building. The photograph was taken after the quake-damaged façade had been pulled down. To the right of this building is the premises of A F Redgrave and Company, Grain and Produce Merchants.
