About this object
A view of Ahuriri and Westshore taken from Bluff Hill looking towards the Kaweka Ranges. The photograph is thought to have been taken between 1880 and 1884. Shakespeare Road is visible in the foreground. Thomson and Company (steam aerated water and cordial manufacturer) is located along Shakespeare Road. At the base of Napier Hill, Shakespeare Road meets Battery Road. Ahuriri and the Western Spit (Westshore) are visible in the distance.
