A postcard photograph of Napier Hospital. The image is of the second site of the Napier Hospital on the old Barracks Reserve.
There are two men on the bank, one is seated with what appears to be a sketchbook. A child is walking along the road in the direction of the men.
The hospital was opened in June 1880 and collapsed in the Hawke's Bay earthquake of 1931. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880s or 1890s.
