About this object
This photograph depicts the Hastings premises of E S Cliff and Company Limited, printers, on Queen Street after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the 3rd of February 1931. Signage for F J Tonkin, land agent, and Harvey Fulton and Hill, land and insurance agents, is also visible. The old post office building that these two businesses occupied was left relatively undamaged after the earthquake.
