About this object
A postcard photograph of Napier Hospital on Hospital Hill taken in the late nineteenth or early twentieth century.

The extra story was added on the front wing to provide doctors quarters in 1884. A new wing and children's ward were also added at this time.
Photographer, Muir & Moodie. Post card published by J Chadwick and printed in Saxony.
