About this object
View of the sculptural group on the Australian Mutual Provident [AMP] Society building, corner of Browning Street and Shakespeare Road. Designed by F G F Mercer, the group consists of three adult figures and a small child dressed in classically inspired dress. The plinth on which the group sits bears the inscription 'amicus certus in re incerta'. The clock beneath the group reads 12 p.m.
