The unidentified man on the right of the image is operating a water pump. The unidentified man at the left of the image is cleaning a boot.
The location of the photograph and the date are unknown but it is believed to have been taken in the 1850s.
There are initials in the bottom right hand corner of the image, possibly GDM.
