About this object
View of a horse drawn float parked outside the Arcade Building on Marine Parade, Napier. At the front of the float a woman dressed as the Statue of Liberty stands on a platform with the word 'Liberty' on it. Six large flags, possibly representing different nations, are located to her right and left. The driver sits below the platform. Immediately behind the driver is a large panel mounted with hot water cylinders and posters. Behind this panel, two women dressed in white and a seated male are visible. Along the side of the float is a sign reading 'Because you can't get enough hot water for a bath, why not use a gas water heater'. Three men holding coats pose in front of the float.
