About this object
This photograph depicts the Hastings Municipal Buildings on Heretaunga Street after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the 3rd of February 1931. The buildings were damaged by the earthquake but remained standing. Repairs and strengthening took place and were completed by September 1931.
