View of the ruins of the Carnegie Library (Hastings Public Library), built in 1907, taken after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the 3rd of February 1931. On the left of this two-storied building is the Hastings Club, a wooden building erected in 1906. A motor car is parked in the right foreground.
