About this object
View of a room at Nesbitt Cottage, Seapoint Road, designed by J A Louis Hay in 1910. The walls of the room are panelled with timber. There is a large window in the back wall of the room. A brick fireplace with a carved timber surround is located on the left wall. Behind the fireplace is a built-in bookcase and a dresser. The mantelpiece is decorated with vases of flowers, photographs and ornaments. A table is located in the left foreground. Other furniture in room includes an upholstered chair and a dining table. This room was possibly the dining room.
