About this object
View of the Dining Room at Glenalvon (1912), Tikokino, designed by J A Louis Hay. The walls of the room are papered. A picture rail and decorative frieze run around the perimeter of the room. The left wall features a fireplace with a timber surround. A mirror is fitted to the wall above the mantelpiece. A door is located along the back wall. Among the furniture that is visible in the room are a rocking chair, an upholstered chair, and a dining chair and table.
