About this object
A group photograph of the men and boys of the Te Awa Swimming and Life Saving Club.

There are two rows of men standing in front of a corrugated iron clad shed. The shed has the sign writing of the Te Awa Swimming and Lifesaving Club and its symbol. Some of the men are wearing swimming costumes and some are wearing suits.
There is also a row of young men seated with their legs crossed. They are seated on the grass in front of the standing men. They are wearing striped short sleeved shirts or singlets.
The photograph is believed to have been taken in the early twentieth century.
