A group photograph of the women and children of the Te Awa Swimming and Life Saving Club.

The women are standing a row in the back in their swimming costumes and hair wraps. A smaller group of children are kneeling in front of the women. Some younger children are seated on the grass in front of those kneeling.

The photograph is believed to have been taken in the early twentieth century. The exact date and photographer are unknown.
