View of the Soundshell (built 1935) and the Veronica Sunbay (built 1934) designed by J T Watson taken from the esplanade looking towards Cape Kidnappers, possibly in 1935.
In the foreground are the Marine Parade gardens. The Kirk Sundial (designed by J A Louis Hay) is located at the south end of the gardens. The Skating Rink is located behind the gardens. The sea wall is visible along the right hand side of the photograph. Marine Parade is lined with mature Norfolk Island Pines.
