View of the Skating Rink on Marine Parade looking south. In the foreground, three skaters perform. A crowd watches the performance. In the background is the Soundshell (built 1935) designed by J T Watson. On the extreme left of the photograph is the Veronica Sunbay (built 1934). The Colonnade, which was built between 1936 and 1939, is visible on the right. Behind the Colonnade, the T & G Building (designed by Atkin & Mitchell, completed 1936-37) is visible on the corner of Emerson Street and Marine Parade.
