View of the Napier Breakwater taken in the 1880s. The photograph is taken looking from the foot of Bluff Hill toward the end of the breakwater. A steam crane is visible at the end of the breakwater moving one of the large concrete blocks into position. There are several people visible at the end of the breakwater.
