About this object
View of the Soundshell (built 1935), designed by J T Watson. Taken from the north west side of the Skating Rink looking towards the stage, the photograph is thought to have been taken around 1940. Rows of seating have been arranged in front of the stage, from which a crowd of people watch a performance.
