About this object
Postcard featuring a view of Marine Parade taken from the north end of the Veronica Sunbay (built 1934) looking south west. On the left of the photograph stands the Soundshell (built 1935), designed by J T Watson. In front of the Soundshell is the skating rink. Children and young adults can be seen skating on the rink. The Colonnade (designed by J T Watson, built 1936-39) is located on the right. The T & G Building designed by Atkin & Mitchell (completed 1936-37) is visible on the corner of Emerson Street and Marine Parade.
