About this object
A photograph of the HMNZS Bellona moored at the Port of Napier. The image of the naval vessel is taken with the bow of the ship in the foreground looking back toward the Bluff Hill. In the foreground at the bow of the ship the New Zealand flag is visible. There are naval personnel on the wharf on the right of the image. The Bluff Hills are visible in the background of the image. There is a small defensive instalment visible at the top of the hill at the right of the image. This photograph is likely to have been taken during the late 40's and fifties when the Cruiser HMNZS Bellona was stationed in New Zealand waters. Photographer: Dave Williams.
