About this object
View of Marine Parade looking south taken from the esplanade around 1936. Gardens have been planted along the esplanade. The Kirk Sundial is visible at the end of the gardens. Further along Marine Parade are the Veronica Sunbay (built 1934) and the Soundshell (built 1935), designed by J T Watson. The sea wall is visible on the extreme right. Marine Parade is lined with mature Norfolk Island Pines.
