About this object
A photograph depicting part of the construction of the Hastings city waste water outfall.

The image depicts a man lying on a piece of machinery in mid-air. His left leg is hoisted on top of the pipe and he is holding on. He appears to be rigging wire onto the machinery. He is wearing a suit and hat.
Another man stands at the left of the image with his left hand under the adjoining pipe or beam which is held up by a support on the structure.
The photograph is likely to have been taken on the foreshore near Haumoana and Clive.
