View of Marine Parade from the roof of the Municipal Baths, possibly taken during the opening ceremony of the Swan Memorial Children's Paddling Pool in February 1918. On the right side of the image, a large crowd gathers around the paddling pool. On the opposite side of the street stands the Napier Soldiers’ Club (designed by J A Louis Hay, built 1916). The base of Bluff Hill is visible in the background.
