About this object
This photograph depicts Hastings High School situated on Karamu Road South, Hastings, after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the 3rd of February 1931. The school suffered some damage from the quake.

Previously known as Hastings Technical High School, the school moved to a new 20-acre site in Karamu Road South in 1925, and was officially reopened by Sir James Parr on March 3rd, 1926.

The photographer is thought to be Frank L Moodie, architect.
