About this object
A photograph depicting part of the construction of the Hastings city waste water outfall.
The photograph is possibly taken on the foreshore near Haumoana and Clive. The men in the picture appear to be constructing a cover for the pipes that should lead into the sea carrying the waste water. They are working on a wooden structure that stretches into the sea.
In the image one man is standing on top of the structure apparently prying something apart. Two other men are holding or driving a wooden log from beneath whilst they are standing on the foreshore in the shallows.
Photographer: Dave Williams.
Date: unknown.
