About this object
View of the Neal and Close band rotunda taken from Marine Parade looking towards Napier Hill. The plaque on the front of the band rotunda reads: Presented to the Borough of Napier by Neal and Close 1894. The structure is decorated with detailed iron work. A weathervane featuring the initials N&C is located on the roof of the structure. To the left of the band rotunda is the intersection of Tennyson Street and Marine Parade. To the right, the Borough Council Chambers (built 1874) stands on the corner of Marine Parade and Herschell Street.
