About this object
A photograph of the Devon Steamship moored to a wharf.

The image is taken slightly to the right from the front. It captures the bow in the foreground and looks down the length of the port side of the ship.

The photograph is possibly taken at Napier, although the steam ship worked regularly out of Auckland. The Devon was owned by the Federal Steam Navigation Company.
