Brief Description
Petition by Philip Dolbel, Richard Dolbel, David Paton Balfour, Eustace Fannin and John Gibson Kinross to the New Zealand House of Representatives regarding the Mohaka Block.
The land had been divided up and rented out to the petitioners at a set rate of one farthing per acre per annum for a 14 year period, but the Government was trying to increase this to one half-penny, increasing to one penny after another 5 years. The petitioners claim hardship and seek relief from this increase.
