The first minute book for the Rissington Country Women's Institute, which was the first Institute established in New Zealand. Miss Jerome Spencer was the President. It begins with a heading titled: Formation of Rissington Women's Institute.

The minute book records the first 11 meetings of the Rissington CWI dated 27 January 1921 - 7 November 1921, special meetings, Annual General meetings and the Committee monthly meetings for 31 January 1922 - 9 July 1925. The meetings cover the monthly events, activities and support given to the Rissington community.
