About this object
This photograph depicts the Dalgety and Company Limited building, which was on the corner of Dickens and Dalton Streets.

The photograph was taken after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the 3rd of February 1931. Dalgety's Building was one of the few that survived the devastation caused to central Napier by the earthquake.

The photographer is thought to be Frank L Moodie, architect.
