Brief Description
A letter written to Louisa Bowie from John Kerr.

(a) The contents of the letter are: John has learnt from Elizabeth that Louisa has insufficient funds. He enclosed a five pound note with the letter. He has been in the country selling farm stock. Betsy has written to him regarding her trip. He asks whether Louisa will be down on Thursday and if so, he will have a cart waiting.

(b) The letter has been folded into an envelope shape with a stamped wax seal. It is addressed to: Miss Bowie care of Mrs Morrice Newburgh Fife. The letter was dated and sent on 5 September 1843.
