Brief Description
Deed of confirmation by way of conveyance and release for land blocks in Poverty Bay from J W Johnston, Esquire to Messrs Rees and Wi Pere. A post script written on the cover of the deed records that it concerns land bought under the Land Transfer Act.
This deed includes descriptions of Pakowhai (A), Te Kuri (B) and Te Kopua (C) blocks. The first schedule of the document outlines Pakowhai Block as four thousand nine hundred and fifty acres. The second schedule outlines Te Kuri Block as four hundred acres. The third schedule outlines Te Kopua Block as three thousand acres. A map outlining the three blocks is included in the document.
Attached to the document is a stamp duty of ten shillings as well as a stamp that reads: Fine Paid.
