Brief Description
Document recording the transfer of land from Paora Puta and others to Kinross and Graham. The land concerned was Okahuatiu Number Two or Te Aroha Block comprising thirty six thousand six hundred and sixteen acres.

The document contains multiple columns listing signatures, date of signature, interpreter, male adult witness, attesting witness and consideration. In this last column are monetary values of either thirty or forty pounds.

The first signature is that of Paora Puta, dated 3 March 1881.

A note on one page records the Trust Commissioner under the Native Lands Frauds Prevention Act of 1881 for the Poverty Bay District, Matthew Price, as stating the agreement is not unfair or invalid under the statues of the Act.

A Māori translation of the first page of the agreement is recorded on the back inside page with a drawing of the Okahuatiu Number Two Block, with other surrounding blocks shown.
