About this object
An image of Port Ahuriri and Westshore taken from Hospital Hill. A detailed view of West Quay and Westshore, previously known as the Western Spit. The Ahuriri Hotel, later named the Ferry Hotel, is visible at the end of the Petane Bridge linking West Quay to the Western Spit.

The British Iron Works are visible along Hyderabad Road on the edge of the South Pond with horses in their yard. Grazing land is also in place at the base of Ossian Street to the lower right of the Iron works.
