About this object
View of Tennyson Street taken from Marine Parade on 20 May 1905. On the extreme left of the image stands the band rotunda on Marine Parade. Behind the band rotunda is the Masonic Hotel (built 1897), designed by Mr Stanley Jeffreys. On the opposite side of Tennyson Street are the premises of the London Lancaster Fire Insurance Company and the United Insurance Company. Among the businesses that are visible along Tennyson Street are T Parker and Company, the New Zealand HB Clothing Factory, and E H Ricketts.
