About this object
This photograph depicts a house damaged by the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the 3rd of February 1931. This is the back of Geddie's house on the end of Elizabeth Street. The road behind the house slipped away in the earthquake.

It is noted with the photograph that it represents a timber house on Bluff Hill, Napier.

The photographer is thought to be Frank L Moodie, architect.
