About this object
A photograph surveying Port Ahuriri and Westshore taken from Hospital Hill. The houses below Goldsmith Terrace are visible. In the distance the Petane bridge stretches between West Quay and Westshore, linking the two spits. On the end of the Western Spit the North British and Hawke's Bay Freezing Works are visible.

On West Quay Hawke's Bay Farmers' Co-operative store is evident at the left end of the row of buildings facing the inner harbour. The Butters, Hale and Company building is also discernable one street back from the quay.
